Encoraging Lymph Fluid To Move

The bodies lymphatic system is stimulated by applying an elastic tape material which has the same elasticity as the skin. When applied to an inflamed or swollen area in accordance with the anatomy of the lymphatic system the lymph drainage is stimulated for 24 hours a day. The lifting motion of the tape creates a space between the top layer of skin and the underlying tissues which in turn creates a pressure graduate allowing the lymph capillaries to open and encourage lymph fluid to move from areas of high pressure to low pressure and towards working lymph nodes where eventually it will be eliminated.

The tape can be worn for up to 7 days providing a simple, economical treatment approach and is used in the management of lymphoedema and post-surgical recovery.
